W83-4 and W83-5. Christ- <br />offersen explained that two separate feasibility reports can be <br />prepared; csn bid them together or sepsrately (to identify expendi- <br />tures). <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council sdopt ~ <br />Resolution No. 83-38, Ordering Feasibility Report for Improvement <br />No. W83-4 (North of 5TH 96) and W83-5 (South of 5TH 96). Motion <br />carried uanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Authorization to Execute Drainage, Highway and Temporary Slope <br />Easements - Lexington Avenue Improvement <br /> <br />Christiansen moved, Seconded by Mulcahy, that Council authorize <br />execution of the Drainage, Highway and Temporary Slope Eaaements, <br />Lexington Avenue Improvement. <br /> <br />In discussion, it was noted that amended or additional verbage <br />relative to County's liability during construction, may be forth <br />coming from the County for approval by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion was withdrawn by Christiansen and seconder Mulcahy. <br /> <br />Council action was deferred to August 8th meeting. <br /> <br />Woodbridge Properties - Report of City Engineer <br /> <br />Christoffersen reported that his report of July 21st re Woodbridge <br />Properties Business Center was based on his review of sanitary <br />sewer, water main and drainage design computations furnished by <br />the developer, which design meets the general criteria used in <br />Arden Hills. Christoffersem ssid he has not received the site grad- <br />ing or utility constructions plans to date. <br /> <br />Arden Plaza - Drainage Response <br /> <br />McNiesh reported no response to date from C.G. Rein. <br /> <br />REPORT OF PARK DIRECTOR JOiN BUCKLEY <br /> <br />Bid Award - Cummings Park Grading <br /> <br />Council wss referred to Planner Miller's memorandum of 7/20/83, <br />recommending that the base bid be swsrded to Forest Lake Contracting <br />(low bid of five bids received), and that the alternate bid not <br />be accepted ($7,850.00). <br /> <br />Buckley said he estimates that the Park Maintenance crew can fertiliZ. <br />seed and mulch at a materials cost of approximately $3,8001 and <br />about 80 man hours. Buckley explained that August is usually dry; <br />grass doe sn' t grow as rspi dly, so he feels his crew of 4 can accom- <br />plish the work, instead of-some of the trail work which was scheduled. <br /> <br />Buckley said the rough and fine grading will be done by the contractor; <br />the site will be flail mowed, grssses and weeds will be sprayed and <br />picked up before grading; areas will be ready for fertilizer, seed <br />and mulch when grading is completed. <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seco~ded by Mulcahy, that Council sward the base <br />bid to the low bidder, Forest Lake Contracting, Inc., in the amount <br />of $31,454.00.
