<br />Minutee of Regular Council Meeting <br />January 11, 1983 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Miller reported that he has requested that more specifics relative <br />to the pedestrian "linkage" be presented by the applicant. <br /> <br />Reverend Hagstrom described the proposed development as meeting <br />the housing nee de of the more active elderly 70-75 year bracket, <br />wanting to avail themeelves to health services etc. provided by <br />Presbyterian Homes; noted that the revised plan is presented in <br />response to concerns expreesed at the December 1st public hearing <br />and the revised landscaping ie proposed as the result of meetings <br />with neighbors relative to their concerne; reported that RCWD <br />approval has been received and an agreement has been reached with <br />Mr. Koepp and his attorney for a driveway easement. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Architect Dave Shea described the proposed cluster unit site con- <br />sisting of four 8-unit structuree and three 4-unit structures for <br />a total of 44 units; noted that two 4-unit structures were re- <br />moved, providing greater aeparation between the remaining build- <br />ings. Shea presented elevations of the one and two story struc- <br />tures as seen from the County Road D and Shorewood Drive areas, <br />and described the individual units; which comprise a living room, <br />kitchen and dining area, bath and two bedrooms (or one bedroom and <br />denlShea indicated the common areas within the buildings, consist- <br />ing of community room, laundry facilities, lockers and accese to <br />the between building links and garages. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Reid received the revieed landscape plan which includes <br />berms with various sized plantings of trees and ehrubs as indi- <br />cated, low prairie grass on steep areas and mowed graes where it <br />can be eaeily maintained. Reid noted various plantings proposed, <br />and approximate sizes to effectively screen the site from residen- <br />tial areas to the east and eouth. Reid explained that after meet- <br />ing with Mr. Seaberg, relative to his concerns, berms will be low- <br />ered to about 2 feet and plantings eoftened at the separation <br />between his property and the Presbyterian Homee site. Miller explained that his <br />site coverage calculations were based on the survey provided by <br />Shea Architects; suggested that the survey of the Presbyterian <br />Homes site be verified relative to its accuracy; noted that the <br />survey indicates water coverage of a portion of the site shown as <br />land On the section map. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
