CITY DEPARTMENTS <br /> • <br /> The Six (6) departments of the City of Arden Hills are: <br /> • Administration <br /> • Protective Inspection <br /> • Community Development) Planning <br /> • Finance <br /> • Public Works <br /> • Park and Recreation <br /> Administration. The Department of Administration oversees all departments. <br /> The City Administrator serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the City. The <br /> duties include assisting the Council in carrying out administrative functions and <br /> advising the Council in carrying out administrative functions and advising the <br /> Council on matters of general policy. The Department of Administration conducts <br /> elections. <br /> Protective Inspection. The Protective Inspection Department issues sign, grading <br /> and all construction building permits. The department enforces the City's housing <br /> 41111 code as well as the trash and garbage, vehicles and all other related ordinances. <br /> Protective inspection also offers information related to licensing and zoning. <br /> Community Development/Planning. The Department of Community <br /> Development/Planning is responsible for administering the Comprehensive Plan <br /> and Zoning Ordinance as well as reviewing development plans. The department is <br /> also available to assist businesses in the use of Economic Development Programs. <br /> Other information is available about recycling, cable TV, code enforcement and <br /> licensing. <br /> Finance. The Finance Department handles all revenue and expenditures for the <br /> City, including investments and utility billing and keeps the City departments <br /> within their budget. <br /> Public Works. The Public Works Department is located adjacent to City Hall at <br /> 1450 West Highway 96. Public Works maintains the City streets, water and sewer <br /> services. <br /> Parks and Recreation. The Parks and Recreation Department oversees all areas <br /> • of Park and Recreation. The department administrators a number of recreation <br /> programs, community education, park maintenance and other related activities. <br />
