• <br /> • Economic Development Committee. This Committees primary mission is <br /> dedicated to representing the community, and assist local business through <br /> retention and expansion of existing businesses, attraction of new business <br /> activities and working to provide a favorable climate for development and <br /> redevelopment. This committee meets on the third Thursday of each month at <br /> 8:00 a.m. <br /> Finance Committee. The Finance Committee meets the 4th Thursday at 7:30 p.m. <br /> This committee is charged with indepenently reviewing, evaluating and making <br /> recommendations to the City Council on various financial issues facing the City. <br /> Human Rights Committee. The purpose of the Human Right Committee is to <br /> secure for all citizens equal opportunity in employment, housing, public <br /> accomisations, public services and education. The Committee assists the MN <br /> Department of Human Rights in implementing state status and advising the City <br /> Council on by ? Programs to improve community relations to the City. The <br /> Committee meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. <br /> • Public Safetyt Works Committee. The Public Safety\Works Committee is <br /> responsible for recommending policies to the City Council. This includes <br /> everything from assing street lights to monitoring snow removal. The Committee <br /> also works with the local police and fire departments to ensure that the City <br /> receives excellent protection. The Committee members serve one year terms and <br /> meets on the Third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Meeting Locations. All committee meetings are held at Arden Hills City Hall. <br /> The Planning Commission meets at New Brighton City Hall. <br /> Applications. Anyone interested in serving on a commission is asked to complete <br /> an application or submit a letter of interest to City Hall. <br /> Meeting Agendas. Agendas for City Council and Commission meetings are <br /> available at City Hall the Friday prior to each meeting. <br /> Cablecasting. All regular City Council Meetings are cable cast live on Channel <br /> 16. <br /> • <br />
