• • Economic Development Committee. This Committees primary mission is dedicated to representing the community, and assist local business through retention and expansion of existing businesses, attraction of new business activities and working to provide a favorable climate for development and redevelopment. This committee meets on the third Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m. Finance Committee. The Finance Committee meets the 4th Thursday at 7:30 p.m. This committee is charged with indepenently reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations to the City Council on various financial issues facing the City. Human Rights Committee. The purpose of the Human Right Committee is to secure for all citizens equal opportunity in employment, housing, public accomisations, public services and education. The Committee assists the MN Department of Human Rights in implementing state status and advising the City Council on by ? Programs to improve community relations to the City. The Committee meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. • Public Safetyt Works Committee. The Public Safety\Works Committee is responsible for recommending policies to the City Council. This includes everything from assing street lights to monitoring snow removal. The Committee also works with the local police and fire departments to ensure that the City receives excellent protection. The Committee members serve one year terms and meets on the Third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Meeting Locations. All committee meetings are held at Arden Hills City Hall. The Planning Commission meets at New Brighton City Hall. Applications. Anyone interested in serving on a commission is asked to complete an application or submit a letter of interest to City Hall. Meeting Agendas. Agendas for City Council and Commission meetings are available at City Hall the Friday prior to each meeting. Cablecasting.
