<br />\ <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />January 11, 198i <br /> <br />Human RiKhts Commiseion - Brochure and Mid-Winter Conference <br />Johneon moved, aeconded by McAllister, that Council approve the <br />brochure, as amended, and authorize the attendance of Human Rights <br />Commission membere at the Mid-Winter Conference. Motion carried <br />unanimously (3-0). <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH <br /> <br />Resolution No. 82-8, Amending Resolution No. 81-11 Changing Certain <br />License/Permit Fees Effective January 1, 1982. <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council adopt Resolu- <br />tion No. 82-8, Amending Resolution No. 81-11 Chan~ing Certain <br />License/Permit Feee Effective January 1, 1982. Motion carried <br />unanimous ly (3-0). . <br /> <br />Approval of 1982 Licenses and Permits <br />Council was referred to list of 1982 licenses/permits eubmitted for <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />Johnson moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the <br />rubbish hauler licensee, subject to approval of the Village Health <br />Officer; approve the rendering plant permit and authorize execu- <br />tion of the Agreement; approve the game machine, restaurant and <br />other retail sales licenses as listed. Motion carried unanimously <br />(3-0) . <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />McAllieter moved, eeconded by Johnson, that Council approve the <br />Claims and psyroll, as listed, including the early payroll check <br />for Dale Bloom as requested (Buckley memo of 1-11-82). Motion <br />carried unanimously (3-0). <br /> <br />ZoninK Ordinance Pamphlet - Reprint from City Code <br />Council concurred with McNiesh's suggested charge of $5.25 for <br />the Zoning Pamphlet (Appendix A of the Code of Ordinances of the <br />City of Arden Hills), plus 60~ for the separate Zoning Map. <br /> <br />Interest Rate for 1981 TemporarL.I.!,"ansfers <br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memo (1-8-82) recommending that <br />Council establish 14.7% interest rate for temporary transfere and <br />the Contract for Deed for the storage building. <br /> <br />Johnson moved, seconded by McAllieter, that Council authorize the <br />14.7% interest rate for 1981 temporary transfers as per McNiesh's <br />memo. Motion carried unanimously (3-0). <br /> <br />Notice from Minnesota Dept. of Revenue <br />McNieeh reported that $83,663.37 will bp paid to Arden Hills on <br />February 26th; noted that all but about $7,200 will be placed in <br />the General Fund. <br /> <br />Liaison Reports <br />Johnson noted fire department responses to false alarms at <br />Presbyterian Homes; expressed concern re cause and how these can <br />be eliminated. <br /> <br />It was noted that Mr. Valine at Presbyterian Homes is also con- . <br />cerned re the number of false alarms and is looking into the pro- <br />blem. <br /> <br />McAllister reported she had tslked with Parks Director Buckley re <br />preparation of a time sheet; will request that more detail be pro- <br />vided. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst (absent) <br />McNiesh reported, on behalf of Hollenhorst, that two new members <br />have been appointed to the R.C.L.L.G.; reported that the R.C.L.L.G <br />meeting on January 27th will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Venetian Inn <br />(not a dinner meeting). <br /> <br />Woodburn referred Council to League of Minnesota Cities brochure <br />of things they propoee to lobby for at the legislature; suggested <br />that Council and Treasurer Lamb review the list, and if not in <br />agreement, notify our legislators of those not considered good for <br /> <br />the Village of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
