Motion carried unanimously, (5-0) <br /> Approval of Fall Park Pro~ram Leaders . <br /> Council was referred to Buckley's memo (10/8/85). <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve the hiring of fall <br /> park program leaders as outlined in Buckley's memo, Motion carried <br /> unanimously, (5-0) <br /> Sale of Public Works Truck <br /> Council was referred to Raddatz' memo of 10/11/85 re sale of 1979 GMC <br /> 3/4 ton pickup with plow. <br /> Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council authorize the sale of the <br /> truck for $3,400.00 as recommended by Radd~tz. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> (5-0) <br /> Elmquist Appraisal <br /> Council was referred to appraisal of "Lindey's Triangle". In discussion, <br /> it was noted that Ramsey County holds the easement for road right-of-way; <br /> fee holder has the option to re-gain the property if the County releases <br /> the easement. It was asked if the City can legally buy the easement, <br /> It was noted that Lynden indicated in his letter that the underlying fee <br /> owner queried whether the City is interested in the underlying fee title, <br /> After discussion, Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council instruct <br /> Lynden to indicate to legal counsel for fee title owner that the City <br /> has had the property appraised at $5,000 and offers to purchase the fee <br /> title for $5,000. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Park Meetin~ <br /> Hansen reported that the Parks Committee will have a guest speaker at <br /> its October 22 meeting relative to park grants. <br /> ReRional Transit Meetin~ at Map1ewood City Hall, Wednesday, October 16 <br /> Hansen reported a conflict that evening. There were no volunteers to <br /> attend the meeting. <br /> Council Salaries <br /> Council was referred to an article in the Bulletin re salaries for Council <br /> people. Sather suggested that Council discuss the matter this year for . <br /> implementation in 1986; noted that Arden Hills appears to be "out,of line" <br /> with surrounding conununities; noted that a "larger purse" may attract <br /> more Interest in serving the City in this capacity, <br /> REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> Chan~e Order No. 1, Impr, No. P-8S-1, Hamline SurcharRe <br /> Council was referred to Change Order No, 1, Impr.
