(5-0) <br /> <br />REPORT OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR ROBERT RADDATZ <br /> <br />Informal Bids For Parks and Public Works Vehicles <br />Council was referred to Raddatz's memo of 5/13/85 listing six quotes received <br />for 1/4 ton, 1/2 ton and 1 ton trucks, and recommending the purchase from <br />Minar Ford, which he considers the best quote received. <br /> <br />Raddatz reported that Parks Director Buckley recommends the purchase of <br />one 1/2 ton pickup truck for the Parks Department and Raddatz recommended <br />that one 1/4 ton and two 1 ton trucks be purchased for the Public Works <br />Department. <br /> <br />Raddatz explained that he prefers a 1/4 ton pickup for his purposes, instead <br />of a 1/2 ton, because it costs less to run, will not be used for hauling <br />or plowing; will consequently last longer. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, to approve the purchase of one 1/4 ton <br />pickup truck from Minar Ford at $7,760.00 for the Public Works Department. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, to approve the purchase of one 1/2 ton <br />pickup truck from Minar Ford at $7,780.00 for the Parks Department. Motion <br />carried unanimously. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Resolution No. 85-21, ESTABLISHING THE LAST SATURDAY IN APRIL AS "ARBOR <br />DAY" AND MAY AS "ARBOR MONTH" <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council adopt Resolution No. 85-21, <br />RESOLUTION ES1ABLlSHING THE LAST SATURDAY IN APRIL AS ARBOR DAY AND MAY <br />AS ARBOR MONTH. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Third Fire Station <br />Hansen reported that L.J.V.F.D. opposed the reversionary clause; Shoreview <br />Council requested City Manager Gary Dickson to start searching for a station <br />site in the north of Shoreview; apparently Shoreview will stay with the <br />contract cities in the south of Shoreview, and handle the north of Shoreview <br />alone. Hansen reported that the next Fire Board meeting will be on May <br />22nd. <br /> <br />Hicks suggested that L.J.V.F.D. be requested to divest itself of the land <br />purchased for the third station. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Concession Stand License - Arden Hills Sportsman's Club <br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the Concession Stand <br />
