Council reviewed past correspondence, advising Mr. Bona of the Special Use Permit requirement for the deposition of more than 400 cubic yards of earth material on his property and that Council expects him to obtain the permit after requirements for fill permits are established (12/27/84 - Ordinance No. 235). . After discussion re anticipated costs involved for Special Use Permit procedure, possible impact of fill on neighboring properties, filling without the required permit, requiring a permit after the fact, etc., Sather moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council deny the request to waive the Special Use Permit requirement for fill on the Bona property. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) Request for 180-Day Time Extension for Variances - Case No. 84-30, Ospina- Anderson Council was referred to letter (4/18/85) from M. V. Rich Company, Inc. , . request1ng a 180-day time extension for the Ospina/Anderson Medical/Dental building variances (County Road E). Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve a 180-day time extension for the medical/dental building variances (until November 19, 1985). Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) REPORT OF VILLAGE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR ROBERT RADDATZ Approval of Summer Employees Raddatz referred Council to his recommendations for summer help (memo of 4/25/85). Hansen moved, seconded by Sather, that Council authorize the hiring of Steve Zehm and Tony St. Marie (OJT student) as outlined in memo. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) (Raddatz deferred his recommendation of additional summer employment to a future Council meeting.) 1985 Capital Outlay for Vehicles Raddatz referred Council to his memo of 4/25/85, recommending the purchase of a small pickup truck and two I-ton trucks with plows. Raddatz explained that new plows of the same size and same cutting edges eliminates the stocking of extra parts; noted that the existing plows are re-built and of various sizes. Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council accept the 1985 Capital Outlay as per memo. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) (Raddatz will obtain quotes for Council's review at the next Council meeting. ) Water Meter Valves - Resolution No. 85-19 Council was referred to Raddatz's memo (4/25/85) and to a picture of the water meter valve recommended instead of meter couplings now in use. . Peck moved, seconded by Sather, that Council authorize the use of water meter valves, as per memo, and adopt Resolution No. 85-19, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 81-25, RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR MUNICIPAL WATER UTILITY, TO ADD WATER METER VALVE CHARGES. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) 1985 Sealcoatin~ Raddatz referred Council to his memo (4/25/85) re proposed 1985 Sealcoating. Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council authorize the City Engineer to prepare Sealcoating Specifications and Advertisement for Bids for 1985 Sealcoating. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0)
