Maintenance <br /> of the utility lines was queried - are they to be public lines through <br /> private property, or private lines. Nessett thought it would probably <br /> be the same situation as in Northpark Corporate Center - public lines <br /> dedica~ed to and maintained by the City. . <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Rauenhorst, that ,Council approve the site <br /> plan and minor subdivision of Northpark Business Center, subject to: <br /> l. Gradinq Plan approval by City Planner and City Engineer, <br /> including berming in parking setback on gradin~ plan. <br /> 2. Lighting and Landscape Plan approval by City Planner prior <br /> to Building Permit. <br /> 3. Utility Plan and cross-easement approval by City Engineer <br /> and City Attorney. <br /> 4. Resolution of park dedication prior to building occupancy. <br /> 5. Conformance with Northpark Business Center Project <br /> Description as submitted (Case No. 84-31). <br /> Motion carried unanimously. (5-D) <br /> Case No. 84-27, Planned Unit Development Concept Plan Approval - <br /> Gerald McGuire <br /> Deferred until December 17th Council meeting, at the request of <br /> applicant. <br /> Cable TV <br /> Terry Schuster, Group W, reported that all complaints have been resolved, <br /> except two driveway problems which have been delayed until spring. <br /> Schuster reported that they have completed distribution and network <br /> and are asking for permission to market in Arden Hills. Schuster <br /> noted two exceptions, which involve obtaining right of entry <br /> agreements (for work on private property) Hunters Park, townhouse <br /> area. Schuster said Group W will meet with Hunters Park on <br /> December 7th and again in January. <br /> In discussion, Schuster was asked the number of homes that can be <br /> serviced in a week. Schuster said about 325 to 350; explained they <br /> have 15 installers - each can make 4 to 4~/day (60-65/day); noted <br /> that they currently have an 8 to 9 day backlog. <br /> Schuster explained that a "drop" is the line from the utility pole . <br /> to the TV set. <br /> Barry Iverson (Group W) explained that in Hunters Park, homes are <br /> built on private cul-de-sacs, not the public street (Benton Way) <br /> therefore, right of entry agreement is needed. <br /> How Group W markets was queried. Is it geographically, by phone calls? <br /> Schuster explained that sales persons are assigned a management area, <br /> or segment; explained that they start with "door hangings", in <br /> plastic bags, relative to Cable TV service, then there is a follow- <br /> up to make appointments; service changes, after original installation, <br /> are handled by phone and/or direct mail. Schuster said there is a <br /> 90-day free installation provided in the ordinance. <br /> Bill Bauer (Cable Communications Committee) referred Council to the <br /> Committee minutes of 11/12.
