(McNiesh to advise <br /> the Area Business Representative by letter; also to report any <br /> contract concerns of Public Works Supervisor and/or McNiesh to <br /> Rauenhorst). <br /> Purchase of Parks Department Snow Plow <br /> Council was referred to Buckley's memo of 11/8/84. <br /> Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council approves purchase <br /> of the Truck Utilities and Mfg., Inc., plow, to be installed on GMC <br /> truck, at a cost of $1,610.00, as per memo. Motion carried unanimously <br /> (5-0). APrrova1 of Final Payment for Tennis Courts - Schifsk~ <br /> Mu cahy reported that Buckley has an agreement that Schifsky will <br /> fix a low area in one tennis court in the spring; noted that there <br /> is a bond in place and a three-year guarantee. <br /> Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council approve the <br /> final payment to schifsky for the tennis courts upon receipt of a <br /> written contract or letter that the court repairs will be ~ade next <br /> spring. Motion carried unanimously (5-0) <br /> Approval of Winter Park Program <br /> Council was referred to proposed Winter Park Program recommended for <br /> Council approval by the Parks Committee. <br /> After discussion, in which concerns were expressed re City's <br /> liability for certain programs; <br /> Sports Injuries & Diet Control Clinic <br /> Thinning Your Thighs and Slimming Your Hips <br /> Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council approve the <br /> Winter Program Activities with the stipulation that the brochure <br /> makes it clear that the Sport's Injuries and Diet Control Clinic is <br /> sponsored by a chiropractic clinic and that the brochure includes <br /> a disclaimer that the City is not assuming any risk for injuries. <br /> sustained while engaging in these activities. Sands, requesting consideration <br /> for appointment. <br /> Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council nominates Gerald <br /> A. Sands to Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers.
