Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Mulcahy suggested that Council may wish to reconsider the original <br />variance request which was denied, in part, resulting in the loss <br />of a garage access door, which was desired by the applicant. <br /> <br />Bid Tabulation - Impr. Nos. (5-0) <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 234, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 3 of Arden Hills <br />COdeh Alcoholic Beverages, to Delete Prohibition of Sale of <br />Alco olic Beverages on State Wide Election Days - Introduce Bv <br />Title <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council introduce by title <br />Ordinance No. 234, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF ARDEN HILLS <br />CODE, THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES CHAPTER, BY DELETING SECTIONS THEREIN <br />PROHIBITING SALES OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON ELECTION DAYS. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Negotiations with International Union of Operating Engineers <br />Rauenhorst reported she had one meeting, and will have another in <br />a few days; asked Council's guideline in-put; referred Council to <br />her letter and asked that Councilmembers call her if they have any <br />comments. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Other Business <br /> <br />Joint Fire Board Proposal <br />Hansen referred Council to Proposal of Joint Fire Board - September <br />19, 1984. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Deferred to meeting of October 15th. <br /> <br />Planning Memo of September 18, 1984 from Orlyn Miller re Parking <br />and Truck Unloading Activities - Presbyterian Homes <br />Hicks noted that parking at the day-care facility, across Johanna <br />Blvd. from Presbyterian Homes, is also in violation of parking re- <br />quirements and its Special Use Permit; suggested this also be in- <br />cluded in the discussion, with the Planning memo. <br /> <br />October 3rd Planning Commission Meeting <br />Hansen agreed to attend, as liaison, for Hicks. <br /> <br />Cable TV Complaints <br />Woodburn reported that Group W is not resolving some of the <br />complaints reported to the Cable Commission. McNiesh was requested <br />to obtain complaints, over a month old, from Roger Franke and report <br />to Council on October 15th. <br />
