Bauer advised that Group W Is required <br />to replace property In as good, or better, condition than before <br />the Installation; advised that Administrator Roger Franke be noti- <br />fied of the complaints; If Group W does not replace or repair to <br />the owner's satisfaction, City wi II replace or repair; noted that <br />property owners are to water sod after replacement. <br /> <br />Bauer said It Is the Intent of the franchise that the tap boxes <br />be located as close to the same lot line location as telephone <br />boxes - boxes are not Intended to be located on both sides of 4It <br />lots; they are to be located In the best aesthetic position <br />possible. <br /> <br />Councl I concurred that the telephone number of the North Suburban <br />Cable Commission Administrator be published In the Town Crier for <br />resldent's convenience In registering complaints (646-8172 - Roger <br />Frankel. <br /> <br />Bauer reported that the Cable budget for Arden Hi I Is wi II be <br />$9,604 ($4,802/votel, if all cities agree to the franchise amend- <br />ments; noted that Shorevlew, Arden Hills and Mounds View have not <br />passed the amendments to date. <br /> <br />Bauer estimated that Group W may be ready to market In Arden Hills <br />In 4-6 weeks; reported that the Committee recommends that Arden <br />Hills grant permission to market. <br /> <br />Bauer reported that the next Commission meeting wi II be on Sept. <br />6th. <br /> <br />Joint Powers Aqreement with City of Shorevlew to Furnish Utilities <br />for MnDaT Facilities on County Road I <br />Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Hicks, that Councl I approve the Arden <br />HI Ils-Shorevlew-MnDOT Joint Powers Agreement Re Furnishing Utilities <br />For MnDOT Facilities on County Road I. Motion carried unanimously. <br />(5-0 I <br /> <br />Contribution from Presbyterian Homes <br />Hicks moved to accept $1,200 contribution by Presbyterian Homes <br />and to extend Council's thanks and appreciation. Motion was <br />seconded by Mulcahy and carried unanimously. (5-01 <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Application from Metro Councl I from Fraternal Order of Eagles, asking <br />CIty '5 support. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Rauenhorst, to support the application. <br /> <br />In discussion, McNlesh noted that she had previously received a <br />communication from JoAnn Val ley, School District 621 Edgewood <br />Community Center, relative to a van to serve the elderly and handl- . <br />capped In this area. McNlesh saId she had replIed that she thought <br />It would be beneficial. <br /> <br />Hicks withdrew his motion pending Information from the School <br />District as to whether the Eagles application 15 tied to the School <br />District InquIry. <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee Resignation <br />Nancy Hansen noted that her appointment to the Council results In a <br />vacancy of Public Safety Committee chairman; suggested this appoint- <br />ment be made prior to the next Public Safety Committee meeting <br />(September l7thl. <br />
