Councilmembers Malone, Hicks and Keirn <br /> indicated that they believed that the Newsletter should be an in,house publication, I <br /> with technical assistance provided by a professional writer/editor. <br /> COlillcilmember Aplikowski indicated that Staff should follow,up on the I <br /> recommendation by Council and present it to Council at the next Worksession. <br /> Agenda Item 3c I <br /> Karth Lake Pumpin!! Project <br /> Mr. Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Superintendent, discussed the letter that is I <br /> proposed to be sent to the citizens involved with the Karth Lake Outlet Project. <br /> Mr. Stafford explained that the proposed improvements consist ofthe installation <br /> of an outlet pipe and some form of pwnping station at the Lake. Mr. Stafford will I <br /> also include with the letter, the feasibility study completed by MSA. The purpose <br /> of the letter is to provide the opportunity for the local Homeowners Association to <br /> consider how the alternatives may be financed. eI <br /> Councilmember Malone complimented Staff on the composition and clarity of the <br /> letter and indicated it should be sent immediately. The remainder of the Council I <br /> concurred. <br /> Agenda Item 3d I <br /> CouncillDepartment Head Retreat <br /> Administrator Fritsinger discussed the Council/Department Head Retreat. <br /> Councilmembers Aplikowski and Keirn felt that a facilitator was necessary to I <br /> keep the issues focused and discussed in at timely manner. Councilmember <br /> Malone indicated that someone, not necessarily a facilitator, should lead the I <br /> meeting to ensure that a schedule is followed. Councilmember Hicks suggested a <br /> member of the local Toastmasters group may be a solution, <br /> The Council indicated that a half day meeting beginning at 12:00 PM and I <br /> continuing until 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM would be appropriate. Dinner should be <br /> provided and consideration given to inviting Charlotte McNeish to assist with I <br /> history issues. <br /> I <br /> -. <br /> - <br />
