<br /> I <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA _- <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-30 I <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING COOPERATIVE P ARTICIP A TION IN THE I <br /> NORTH METRO 3SW CORRIDOR COALITION <br /> WHEREAS, the Cities of Arden Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton, Roseville and I <br /> Shoreview (35W Corridor Cities) directly border the Northern Metro Section ofInterstate 35W; <br /> and I <br /> WHEREAS, the Interstate 35W Corridor is seen as a key area for future I <br /> commerciaI\industrial development, housing and infrastructure improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, partnerships and collaberative efforts between the 35W Corridor Cities will I <br /> produce numerous benefits regarding future development and transportation improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, coming together as a whole versus individually will benefit the 35W Corridor I <br /> when applying for financial assistance or lobbying for projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, Council Members, Administrators and Development Staff of the 35W Corridor .. <br /> Cities believe that a strategic alliance is an innovative approach that will enable a more regional <br /> and productive marketing and development of the 35W Corridor in a time when public resources <br /> are limited. - <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Arden <br /> Hills, Minnesota, hereby supports the participation in the North Metro 35W Corridor Coalition in I <br /> conjunction with the Communities of Arden Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton, Roseville and <br /> Shoreview; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Administrators and Development Staff keep the I <br /> Council informed of the efforts and proposed projects of the North Metro 35W Corridor I <br /> Coalition to ensure that all communities are working toward common goals. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS I <br /> THIS 13TH DAY OF MAY, 1996. <br /> DENNIS P.
