MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: May 24,1996 <br /> I TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> Brian Fritsinger, City Administrato@) <br /> I FROM: <br /> SUBJECT: Old Highway 10 Watermain Project <br /> I Background <br /> I On April 29, 1996 the Arden Hills City Council held an informational meeting and subsequently <br /> discussed the Old Highway 10 Watermain Project at its regularly scheduled meeting. At this <br /> meeting the City Council received the feasibility report and ordered a public hearing for May 28, <br /> I 1996. <br /> A number of questions were raised at this initial meeting and several concerns were identified by <br /> I affected property owners. Specifically, the concerns related to the future bike trail, method of <br /> assessments and the projects impact on existing landscaping. At the conclusion of this meeting, <br /> the property owners and Council supported moving ahead with the project. <br /> Ie The purpose of this public hearing is to allow for additional input from the property owners and <br /> to make a decision as to the ordering of the project. Staff has not received any additional <br /> I feedback from the property owners over the past several weeks. The assessment hearing is <br /> proposed to be held at a later date, upon completion of the project. <br /> I Rccommendation <br /> Staff recommends the City Council adopt Resolution #96-35, Ordering the improvement and <br /> I preparation of plans and specifications in the matter of the Old Highway 10 Watermain <br /> Improvement of 1996. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> t' <br /> I <br /> , <br /> , <br />
