I .. , interoffice I M E M 0 RAN 0 U M I to: Cindy Walsh from: Greg Stonehousec;;5> I subject: Northern Bike Trail Segment date: July 22, 1996 I This memorandum is provided to assist you in outlining the proposed extension of the 1996 Bike Trail Improvement project. The area of interest extends from a point at the current northern extent of the project, to include the segment from Arden Vista Court to Highway 96. I We have initiated the preparation of plans for this segment of the trail and anticipate their . completion by Monday, July 29, 1996. The estimated construction cost of that segment of trail is approximately $39,656. That amount includes approximately $2,000 for the relocation of irrigation equipment within the northern townhouse development. . The Contractor has indicated that he can complete the work in conjunction with the proposed .- 1996 work and will do so for the same unit prices outlined in the current contract. One item that may create a delay in proceeding until 1997 is the potential wetland impacts of the area immediately north of Arden Vista Court. The Wetland Conservation Act has been amended to allow the impact of up to 2,000 square feet per affected wetland; however, the approval process I may take six to ten weeks. Therefore, it may be necessary to complete this phase of the project in 1997. We will inquire as to the Contractor's ability to use the same unit prices on this leg of the project in 1997 prior to finalizing Change Order number one for the project.
