<br /> - - <br /> I CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> i' MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: November 25, 1996 <br /> I TO: M,y" ,"d City C"U"ciJ :1i::: <br /> I FROM: Kevin Ringwald, Community Development Director <br /> SUB.JECT: Community Development Department Activities - Novem er of 1996 <br /> I The following summarizes the activities of the Community Development Department for <br /> I November of 1996. <br /> Planning and Zoning <br /> I The Planning Commission took action on the following Planning Cases at their November 6, <br /> 1996 meeting: <br /> I 1. Planning Case 96-22 (Northwestern College, 3003 Snelling Avenue North, Planned <br /> Unit Development amendment), The Planning Commission recommended approval of <br /> the request of Northwestern College to modify their allowable maximum number of <br /> Ie students on campus. The growth in enrollment is to be increased at five years (1,425 <br /> students max.) and ten years (1,600 students max.). Also, the City and the College will <br /> I review growth in five years and the Cities of Roseville and Arden Hills are to share <br /> information on the College as requests come to the each City. Lastly, the applicant has <br /> agreed to address some neighborhood concerns regarding exterior storage of materials <br /> I near Lake Johanna and adjusting security lights on one building so they do not shine at <br /> neighbors, prior to the City Council meeting. Planning Case 96-22 is scheduled to come <br /> before the City Council on December 9,1996. <br /> I 2, Planning Case 96-24 (John McClung, 4326 North Snelling Avenue, Minor <br /> Subdivision), The applicant withdrew his request so as to allow a wetland delineation to <br /> I be performed on the two new lots to insure buildability. The applicant will be out of <br /> town this winter and is expected to come back to the City next spring for reconsideration <br /> of his request. <br /> I The Planning Commission will be reviewing the following Planning Cases at their December 4, <br /> 1996 meeting: <br /> I 1. Planning Case 96-21 (Dan Ashbach, 1580 Oak Avenue, Minor Subdivision/Lot <br /> I Consolidation), The applicant is requesting approval of a lot split/consolidation which <br /> was previously approved, but that approval has expired (PC 92-23 & 92-24). <br /> t' <br /> I ~. <br />
