Thc applicant is requesting approval of an <br /> amendment to their SUP (PC 73-31) which would allow for an increase in the size of the -. <br /> structure and to pavc the parking lot. Given, that the Church is a nonresidential use in a <br /> residential district, the applicant is looking for similar variances that were approved for <br /> the Lake Johanna Fire Department in Planning Case 96-18. I <br /> 3. Planning Case 96-26 (Bethel College, 3900 Bethel Drive, Special Use Permit <br /> amendment). The applicant is requesting approval to update their Master Plan which I <br /> was originally approved in March of 1978 in Planning Case 78-5. Essentially, the Master <br /> Plan is proposed to stay the same, except a new building is being proposed to connect the <br /> College to the Seminary and a new administration building is also being proposed. The I <br /> area to the west of Old Highway 10 is still shown as intramural fields. The Staff is <br /> proposing to bring to resolution the future of the "old care-takers" building on the west <br /> shore of Lake Valentine and the Friend of Bethel Christmas Tree Sales. I <br /> 4, Planning Case 96-27 (Arden Hills Texaeo/Quizno's, 1306 West County Road E, <br /> Special Use Permit amendmentlVarianee). The applicant is requesting approval for a I <br /> fast food operation in the Arden Hills Texaco (f.k.a., the Arden Hills Amoco). The <br /> variance is required to allow a fast food use within 1,320 feet of another fast food use (ie., <br /> McDonald's). I <br /> The Staff is working with Control Data Corporation (CDC) on finalizing the documents (ie., ~ <br /> PUD, Plat, access easements, parking easements, and park dedication) which were approved in <br /> Planning Case 96-05. Dynamark (via CSM Corporation) wishes to purchase (prior to 1997) the <br /> land and the building (4290 Lexington Avenue North) north of their existing building at 4255 I <br /> Lexington A venue North). The result would provide Dynamark a four building campus (two <br /> existing and two proposed) on approximately 16 acres ofland. <br /> Protective Inspections I <br /> I. Building Permits. In October of 1996 and through November 21,1996 the City issued <br /> 39 residential building permits which had a value of $1,118,867 and 5 I <br /> Commercial/Industrial building permits which had a value of $784,032. <br /> 2, Heating Permits. In October of 1996 and through November 21, 1996 the City issued I <br /> 38 residential heating permits and 6 CommerciallIndustrial heating permits. <br /> 3, Plumbing Permits. In October of 1996 and through November 21,1996 the City issued I <br /> 9 residential plumbing permits and 1 CommerciallIndustrial plumbing permits. <br /> 4. Water Permits, In October of 1996 and through November 21,1996 the City issued 3 I <br /> residential water permits and 3 Commercial/Industrial water permits. <br /> 5. Sewer Permits.
