<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 4. The acts of inerchants or their employees in delivering <br /> goods in the regular course of business; <br /> <br /> 5. Solicitations by any organization for philanthropic <br /> religious or educational causes if the following <br /> procedure has been accomplished: the requesting entity <br /> must file an application in writing, on a form to be <br /> furnished by the City Administrator, which shall give the <br /> following information: <br /> <br /> Name and purpose of the cause for which the <br /> exemption is sought. <br /> Name of the individual in the organization <br /> responsible for the solicitations. <br /> Names and addresses of the individuals who will <br /> actually be doing the solicitation. <br /> Period during which solicitation is to be carried <br /> on. <br /> <br /> Certificate of non-profit status from the state <br /> where organized. <br /> <br /> Section 18-09. Administrative Review Fee. A fee, in the amount to <br /> be determined from time to time by Council resolut'ion, shall be <br /> paid when the application is submitted. This fee is to cover the <br /> administrative costs of processing and investigating. <br /> <br /> <br /> Section 18-11. Investigation and Issuance. <br /> <br /> 1. Upon receipt of each application, it shall be referred to <br /> the Ramsey County Sheriff for a background investigation <br /> of the applicant's business and moral character as deemed <br /> necessary for the protection of the public good. <br /> <br /> 2. If as a result of such investigation, the applicant's <br /> character or business responsibility is found to be <br /> unsatisfactory, the City shall notify the applicant that <br /> the application is disapproved and that no permit shall <br /> be issued. <br /> <br /> 3. If as a result of such investigation , the applicant's <br /> character or business responsibility is found to be <br /> satisfactory, the City shall deliver to the applicant the <br /> approved permit. <br /> <br /> Section 18.13 Exhibition of Permit. Permittees are required to <br /> exhibit their permit at the request of any citizen. <br />
