(4-0) <br /> <br />FINAL PAYMENT; <br />CHEMICAL ANAYSIS, <br />DRUM DISPOSAL <br />KEM MILLING SITE <br /> <br />Council was refe=ed to a memorandLnn from the Clerk <br />Administrator dated 9-6-90, relative to final payment <br />to for chemical analysis and drum disposal at the Kern <br />site. <br /> <br />Daryl Ohman was present to review the final payment amounts and supporting <br />time/material data received from the firms conducting the removal of the drums at <br />the Kern Milling site. <br /> <br />Council questioned why three companies were utilized to ac:cartq;llish the chemical <br />disposal. <br /> <br />Ohman explained Bay west, the sub::ontractor hired to dispose of the drums, had <br />the specialized equipment necessary to ac:cartq;llish disposal; Metro was hired to <br />transport and dispose of the drums, hcMever, they detennined four of the drums <br />=ntained materials they could not dispose of at their site and Aptus was hired <br />to dispose of the retraining four barrels. <br /> <br />Council questioned if the project is close to finalization at this time. <br /> <br />Ohman advised the only retraining item is the removal of the =ntaminated soils <br />from the site and completion of a report from Delta Environmental on the project. <br /> <br />Council requested the Clerk Administrator prepare a finalized breakdown of all <br />costs associated with the phased clean-up at the Kern Milling site and a <br />comparison with the initial cost estilnates for the project, when a final report <br />is received from Delta Environmental Consultants. <br /> <br />-T:.r'" <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, to authorize the <br />expenditure for final payment for chemical analysis and drum disposal at the Kern <br />Milling site, in the amount of $7,063.42.
