I <br />Code Enforcement <br />There is nothing new to report in this area. I <br />Economic Development <br />1. Business Development Committee. The Business Development Committee held its first I <br /> meeting on March 19, 1997, and will be meeting the third Wednesday of each month. <br />2. Business Relations Committee. It is anticipate that the Business Relations Committee I <br /> will have its first meeting in April of 1997. <br />3. Gateway Business District. The ground breaking for Phase I of the Arden Hills I <br /> Interstate Center has been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 29, 1997 at noon at the site with <br /> a reception to follow, tentatively at the Arden Hills Holiday Inn. . <br /> The Staff has informed Welsh Companies that the Phase II approvals are not going to <br /> proceed until the necessary land purchases have been agreed upon. In short, Welsh is not . <br /> thrilled with the delay. However, the Staff has informed them that we are dedicated to <br /> bringing this to a quick closure. The Staff has had an introductory discussion with a .. <br /> representative of Naegele and that discussion was positive. The Staff and Counsel will be <br /> having more substantive discussions within the next week or so. As always, the Staffwill <br /> keep the City Council informed on the progress of these discussions. <br /> I <br />
