Claims and Payroll <br /> The Council is asked to approve claims in the amount of$95,712.45, and payroll I <br /> for the period most recently cnded. <br /> b. Committee Appointments I <br /> The City Council is asked to consider appointments to the Business Development <br /> Committee. I <br /> 4. Unfinished and New Business <br /> There are no unfinished or new business items planned for discussion at this meeting. I <br /> 5. De9artment Report I <br /> The City Council will find the department report for each of the various City <br /> Departments, except Parks & Recreation. Once Ms. Walsh returns to duty, I expect her <br /> to once again submit monthly reports. I <br /> a. City Hall <br /> Based on the direction provided at the 1997 Retreat, I have begun a review of the .. <br /> space needs analysis with our staff. No other new news to report on the issue of <br /> site availability. I <br /> b. Personnel Policy <br /> I continue to make amendments to this document and am still projecting a review I <br /> of this policy by the City Council in June. <br /> c. TCAAP Activities I <br /> I have continued to meet Wayne Gilbert and Mike Fix on continued re-use <br /> planning efforts. At this time, I am waiting to hear the results of the Alliant <br /> Techsystems briefing of M.G. Monroe, and whether or not the City will be invited I <br /> to participate in its own briefing later this spring. <br /> d. Newsletter Committee I <br /> The Newsletter Committee has published the March edition of the Arden Hills <br /> Notes, and is currently working on the April Edition. We have talked to several of I <br /> our local businesses, who confirmed receipt of the newsletter. <br /> c. 1997 City CouncilJDepartment Head Retreat I <br /> I coordinated the 1997 City Council/Department Hear Retreat which was held at <br /> the Earle Brown Center in Brooklyn Center. Staff has begun working on its ea <br /> implementation plan, which will be presented to the City Council at its April <br /> Worksession. <br /> I <br />
