<br /> I <br /> SECTION V SAFETY REGULATIONS . <br /> A. Medical and First Aid: .. <br /> 1. All city trucks shall be equipped with a first aid kit. First aid kits shall be <br /> maintained in all City of Arden Hills buildings. I <br /> 2. All personnel shall be familiar with the location of first aid kits at their work sites. <br /> 3. Supervisors shall check first aid kit supplies on a periodic basis. I <br /> 4. Minor medical treatment for cuts, scratches, etc. should be given by the supervisor I <br /> or crew leader. Always be sure the open wounds are thoroughly cleansed with <br /> soap and water to prevent infection. <br /> 5. Personnel in each shop/office will be trained in fIrst aid and CPR procedures. I <br /> These people will be designated by the supervisor. <br /> 6. There may be cases in which an injured employee, while needing professional . <br /> attention could be transported to the hospital by city car. There may be cases, <br /> however, in which is important that the injured employee be transferred by I <br /> ambulance. If there is any question in the mind of the supervisor or lead person in <br /> charge, it should be resolved by calling for ambulance service. The following <br /> conditions would definitely indicate ambulance service: ~ <br /> a. Employee unconscious or apparently in shock, <br /> I <br /> b. Any apparent fracture, <br /> c. Any hemorrhaging, I <br /> d. Severe abdominal cramps or vomiting, I <br /> 7. All injuries, no matter how minor, are to be reported to the city <br /> administrator or administrator's secretary immediately. I <br /> 8. In an emergency requiring more than first aid, the employee shall be taken to the <br /> employee's family doctor or to the nearest Hospital. I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> 7 -- <br /> I <br />
