<br /> period for the review and issuance of building permits in the City, In the first six months
<br /> of 1997 there have been 143 building permits issued (127 in 1996) with a combined I
<br /> valuation of $18,552,224.18 ($10,380,104,20 in 1996),
<br /> The second six months of 1997 promises to be equally busy with the addition to the I
<br /> North Heights Lutheran Church (in excess of$5,OM), Phase II of the GBD (in excess of
<br /> $4.5M), Phase III of the GBD (in excess of $5 ,OM), and the last townhouse building (two I
<br /> units) at the Townhomes of Lake Valentine (in excess of$O.5M). At this point in time it
<br /> would appear that at the end of 1997 the City will have had a total valuation increase,
