<br />I' <br />I Plan nine Case 97-14. Bethel CoIle!!e. 3900 Bethel Drive - Site Plan - storage shed addition <br />t' A. Request. The petitioner is requesting approval of a site plan to allow for the construction <br /> of an addilion (3,000 square feet) to the west side of an existing storage shed (6,000 square <br /> feet) at the southeast corner of the Bethel College campus (Exhibit C). <br />I B. Background. Bethel College is currently operating on a Special Use Permit (SUP) which <br /> was issued in March of 1978 in Plarming Case 78-5. The Master Plan was last amended in <br />I September 8, 1980 to allow site plan approval for those requests which were in conformance <br /> with the Master Plan. The proposed addition was shown on the previously approved Master <br /> Plan (updated) which was approved in Planning Case 96-26. <br />I C. Planning Commission recommendation. The Planning Commission recommends <br />I approval of the Site Plan for a 3,000 square foot addition to an existing storage shed at 3900 <br /> Bethel Drive, in Planning Case 97-14, subject to the following conditions: <br />I 1. Installation ofrequired landscaping for the football stadium prior to November I, <br /> 1997. <br /> 2. Installation of required landscaping for the addition to the storage shed prior to <br />I November 1,1997. <br /> 3. Provision of the required landscape bond. <br /> 4. Modification of the five (5) Silver Maples to five (5) Green Ash. <br />Ie 5. Provision of two (2) additional Black Hills Spruce trees be planted adjacent to the <br /> addition. <br /> 6. Provision of one (I) landscaping plan for the entire project. <br />I D. Updates. The applicant on Wednesday, July 9, 1997 installed the required landscaping for <br /> the football stadium. Therefore, the applicant has complied with the condition # I of the <br />I Planning Commission recommendation. <br />I The applicant has provided staff a revised landscape plan modifying and adding the required' <br /> plant species. The applicant has accomplished these revisions on a landscape plan (Exhibit <br /> D) which shows the entire project (football stadium screening and storage shed screening). <br />I Therefore, the applicant has complied with conditions # 4, 5, and 6 of the Planning <br /> Commission recommendation. <br />I Planning Case 97-13.
