Fire Services Task Force I The Fire Services Task Force continues to meet to discuss the new fire contract. They have developed a list of issues which I will be using during I meetings with Shoreview and North Oaks, The Task Force believes these issues are important to improve the accountability of Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department to its contract cities, I 2. Newsletter Committee The Newsletter Committee will be meeting next week to begin work on I the September edition of the Arden Hills Notes, Council and staff liaisons will be updating the committee in regards to recent City Council conversations on the upgrading of the quality of the newsletter. I d. Community Development 1. Gateway Business District fGBD) I Staff continues to work with Welsh Development on the GBD project. The City Council will be holding the public hearing on the improvement aI to Fourteenth Street NE on July 28, 1997, and it is anticipated that the remainder of the development agreements and final plat will be reviewed at the August II, 1997 meeting, Staff has also met with Vaughan I properties to discuss issues related to this property, 2. TCAAP Planninl! I I've continued to hold discussions with Alliant Techsystem representatives on the status of their operations on arsenal property, As always, I attendance at RAB meetings is a monthly activity, 3, Miseellaneous I While I anticipate that Mr. Ringwald will provide more detail on the various activities in the Community Development Department, I'd like to briefly comment on two items, I The first is the high number of planning cases which have been handled during the past few months, When you consider the complexity of these I cases and other department responsibilities, I've been extremely pleased with our ability to respond to our citizens and developers, I ..
