.
ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - NOVEMBER 5. 1997 6 e
Mr. Ringwald explained that currently an application for such signage (courtesy benches) is
made and approved. The City does not have a policy in place for a basis to deny the application.
This issue is an something that the Staff is hoping to deal with in 1998.
Commissioner Nelson questioned the status of the pawn shop and adult entertainment ordinance.
Mr. Ringwald stated that the City Attorney is 80% done with the pawn shop and gun shop
language and approximately 50% completed with the sexually-oriented businesses language.
Currently there are no applications for December and if the City Attorney has completed a draft
previous to the publication deadline of that meeting, it will be considered by the Planning
Commission then.
Councilmember Hicks noted that the Council will be making reappointment to committees in
January and would like to know the interest of the Commissioners. -
Commissioner Galatowitsch asked if Staff was still considering a tour of the City.
Mr. Ringwald stated that he would be happy to accommodate this but it would have to be in the
afternoon due to the light levels or it could be postponed until Spring. ...~
ADJOURNMENT
Sand moved, seconded by Nelson, to adjourn the meeting at 8:07 p.m. The motion I
passed unanimously (6-0).
I
I
I
I
I
I
-.
I
