Inducing or attempting to induce a person, officer or <br />I employee of the City to commit an unlawful act or to act <br /> in violation of any lawful and reasonable official <br /> regulation or order. <br />I 8. Dishonesty in the performance of duties. <br />I 9. Violation of or fraud regarding the provisions of this <br /> chapter. <br /> 10. Failure to report to work, refusal to work as assigned <br />I and directed, or other insubordination. <br /> 1I. Acceptance of a gift under circumstances from which it <br />I could be inferred that the giver expected or hoped for <br /> preferred or favorable treatment in conduct of City <br /> business. <br />Ie 12. Unapproved use of paid work time and/or equipment in <br /> outside employment or for personal benefit. <br />I 13. Claiming paid sick leave for reasons other than those <br /> provided. <br />I 14. Other incidents which constitute cause. <br /> SECTION 19-27 SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY REGARDING DISCIPLINE AND <br />I DISCHARGE. <br /> Supervisors have the authority to impose oral and written <br /> reprimands without the prior approval of the Clerk <br />I Administrator. <br /> Upon the recommendation of the Clerk Administrator, and with <br />I approval of the city Council, an employee may be suspended <br /> without pay to a maximum of thirty (30) continuous work days <br /> in any given calendar year. <br />I An employee may be demoted or discharged by the City <br /> Council.
