This notification is <br /> required by State Statute prior to proceeding with a public improvement under a City <br /> contract if the proposed improvements are to be financed in part, or in their entirety, through <br /> the levying of assessments to benefitting properties. Your property is proposed to be <br /> assessed to help finance the cost of the identified improvements. <br /> The Assessment Public Hearing will be held at the time and location shown below: <br /> . ASSESSMENT HEARING <br /> Date: Monday, March-30, 1998 <br /> Time: 7:30 p.m. <br /> Place: New Brighton City Hall Council Chambers <br /> Location: 803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, MN <br /> In the past, residents have expressed some concerns about the inability to understand the <br /> legal requirements detailed in the required legal notice. It is the purpose of this letter to <br /> attempt to claritY some ofthe issues related to the Assessment Hearing process. The notice <br /> includes the following areas: <br /> 1. Amount to be assessed against the particular parcel <br /> In order to calculate your total assessment and assessed front footage, the City has <br /> analyzed your property for any unique circumstances which may apply and has used <br /> one of the formulas detailed in the Arden Hills Assessment Manual, adopted <br /> November 13, 1990. This manual is available at the Arden Hills Public Library and <br /> at City Hall if you wish to review this document.
