<br /> Recreation Program Update <br /> Tracy has been working on the following: . <br /> * Hiring summer staff. <br /> * Elementary Track Program at Valentine Hills and Island Lake Elementary Schools. <br /> * Spring Programs (gymnastics, preschool acting, babysitting clinic, golf lessons, ceramics, <br /> painting, golf lessons, sports hour, tennis lessons). <br /> * The Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday, April 11. There were over 200 kids who <br /> participated). <br /> * The summer brochLlre will be sent out to the residents the week of April 20. <br /> * Summer tee ball and softball programs for youth. <br /> * Adult softball begins the week of April 27. <br /> Park Maintenance <br /> The maintenance staff has been preparing the softball and soccer fields for the beginning of <br /> Spring programs. They have worked on a number ofrepairs to benches and bleachers that <br /> needed to be done before the park facilities are useable. They started to prepare the Freeway <br /> Park area for the construction of the new play structure equipment, but had to stop because of <br /> wet conditions. Weare scheduled to begin construction again on May II. A representative from <br /> the equipment manufacturer works with the staff for a day to get the holes drilled for the <br /> installation of the supporting poles as designed. Our staff then constructs the remainder of the <br /> structure. <br /> . <br /> . <br />
