Strong Beer Ordinance <br /> Staff prepared and recommended approval of an amendment to our <br /> existing Alcohol Section of the Municipal Code allowing for the sale of <br /> strong beer. <br /> 6. Cable Franchise Agreement <br /> Staff completed the necessary recommendations and paperwork for the <br /> adoption of the ordinance agreeing to the new cable franchise agreement. <br /> Staff has also met with the Cable Commission representatives to discuss <br /> the future of this organization and its future goals. <br /> 7. Community Development <br /> a. TCAAP <br /> Staff continues to be active in all areas of the Twin City Army <br /> Ammunition Plan (TCAAP). This includes conversations with <br /> Fox 29 TV, National Guard, and preparing a list ofTCAAP issues, <br /> priorities and strategies for the City Council review. The City <br /> Council has verbally directed staff to continue its efforts related to . <br /> TCAAP as discussed at the July 20th Worksession. <br /> b. Pro pert)' Acquisitions <br /> Staff has been active in working with the various attorneys, <br /> appraisers, and acquisition specialists in regard to the negotiations <br /> with Mr. 1ndykiewicz, Staff continues to work toward an <br /> agreement on this project. <br /> c. Gatewav Business District (GBD) <br /> Staff has met with representatives of several development <br /> companies and Morris Communication regarding the development <br /> . of the Morris property. To-date, the City has received one concept <br /> plan, Welsh Companies, that has been provided to the City Council <br /> for a general response. <br /> 8. Community Representations <br /> As City Administrator, I've attended a variety of meetings representing the <br /> City this past month. Among others, these have included Day in the Park, <br /> Ramsey County Sheriffs Contract Group, TUG, 1-35W Corridor <br /> Coalition, School District/City Managers, MnDOT, Ramsey County, and <br /> MCMA. <br /> . <br /> -- ---~----------- <br />
