<br />The Planning Commission continues to meet to discuss the update to the Comprehensive Plan.
<br />The dates that the chapters are going to be provided to the Planning Commission/City Council
<br />for final comments before the public hearing are as follows:

<br /> 2. Chapter 2, Overall Goals - September 25, 1998
<br /> 3. Chapter 3, Land Use - September 25, 1998
<br /> 4. Chapter 4, Housing - September 25, 1998
<br /> 5. Chapter 5, Parks and Trails - September 25, 1998
<br /> 6. Chapter 6, Natural Resources - October 2, 1998
<br /> 7. Chapter 7, Transportation - September 25,1998
<br /> 8. Chapter 8, Public Facilities - October 2, 1998
<br /> 9. Chapter 9, Implemcntation - October 2, 1998
<br />The current schedule for the completion of the update to the Comprehensive Plan is as follows:

<br /> 2. friday, October 2, 1998, mail out Chapters 6, 8, and 9 for final comments.
<br /> 3. Wednesday, October 21,1998, at 7:00 pm (PC Worksession) review of Chapters
<br /> 1-9, "Does it all add up?"
<br /> 4. Wednesday, November 4, 1998, at 7:30 pm (PC regular meeting) public hearing
<br /> on Comprehcnsive Plan update and Planning Commission recommendation to
<br /> City Council.
<br /> 5. Monday, November 9, 1998, at 7:30 pm (CC regular meeting) City Council action
<br /> on Planning Commission recommendation.
<br /> 6. Friday, November 13, 1998, submittal to Metropolitan Council and adjacent cities
<br /> for comments (start the 60 day review clock).

<br />Protective Inspections
<br />1. Building Permits (September). The City issued four commercial/industrial permits in
<br /> May. The first (#6186) was for an elevator revision ($54,000) at 1700 County Road F.
<br /> The second (#6187) was for a office remodel ($16,500) at 3585 Lexington Avcnue. The
<br /> third (#6191) was for reroofing ($9,965) at 1315 Red Fox Road. Lastly, the fourth
<br /> (#6205) was for reroofing and an interior remodel ($8,000) at 4703 Highway 10 (Big
<br /> Ten) was double fee'd due to this work was commenced without a permit). The total .
<br /> valuation added by tbese building permits was $88,465.00 with an average valuation of
<br /> $22,116.25.
