<br /> . <br />4. Business Development Committee. The Business Development Committee (BDC) <br /> continues to work on the Lexington/Fox Study. The BDC has been receiving feedback on <br /> the plan and has been evaluating potential modifications to the plan. Additionally, the . <br /> BDC has requested that the Finance Committee review the advantages and disadvantages <br /> of establishing a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) district over all or part of the study area. <br />5. Business Relations Committee. The Business Relations Committee (BRC) continues to <br /> meet one-on-one with] 0-15 businesses per month. The BRC at its next meeting <br /> (October 12, 1998) has invited Kitty Rhoades of the Chambcr of Commerce, to discuss <br /> potential collaborative efforts between the two organizations. <br />RecvcIin~ <br />1. SCORE Grant. The City recently received notification from Ramsey County that in <br /> 1999 it is anticipated that the City will receive a S 19,490 SCORE grant. The City needs <br /> to return the SCORE application to Ramsey County by October 30,1998. Semi-Annual Rccycling Report. Thc City recently provided Ramscy County its semi- <br /> annual recycling report for 1998 to satisfy the requirements of the 1998 SCORE <br /> agreemcnt. <br />Code Enforcement <br />1. 1369 Forest Lane. The Building Official discussed the status of the project with Mr. <br /> Steve Nixon on Wednesday, September 23, 1998, and was informed that work was still <br /> being done on demolishing the interior spaces. However, the property owner does not yet <br /> have finance to do the necessar)' construction. The property owners attendance at the <br /> Monday, October 28, 1998, City Council meeting was requested. <br /> The Building Official has requested that the City Attorney update the Circuit Judge, if <br /> necessary, on the status of this case. Additionally, the City Attorney has been requested <br /> to verify that the mortgage has been satisfied and when that occurred. <br /> . <br />
