<br />, .. <br />. <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> MEMORA1"1/DUM <br /> DATE: October 23, 1998 <br /> TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> O~ <br /> FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Monthly Department Head Report <br /> Public Safety Commission <br /> The October Public Safety Commission meeting was held on October 15,1998 at City Hall. <br /> Commission members reviewed the 2ed cut of the Arden Hills Emergency Preparedness Plan and <br /> noted further revisions. <br /> Members then held ajoint meeting with the City Finance Committee and discussed options for a <br /> new Public Works Facility. As a result of the joint meeting, resolutions were drafted asking <br />. Council to prioritize the Public Works Facility replacement on a level equal to the new City Hall. <br /> 1998 Street Improvement Project <br /> Edgewater, Stowe and Fairview Avenues, have all received their final coarse of blacktop and <br /> most of the boulevard landscaping has been completed, Sandeen A venue also is repaved and <br /> looks good. Only sign replacement and a small number of punch list items remain to complete <br /> the project, plus the installation of a new culvert near Hamline Avenue and Ingerson Road. <br /> 1999 Street Improvement Project <br /> An informational meeting on the West Round Lake Road reconstruction has been scheduled for <br /> Thursday, October 29, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall. Attached is a copy of the notice sent to <br /> affected property owners. <br /> 1999 Trail Project <br /> Two (2) of the three (3) short segments of trail work attached to this years street project have <br /> been completed. One short segment near Katie Lane has been held-up somewhat by shallow <br /> telephone cables, located in the trail cut, but those problems are now resolved. <br /> 1998 Sewer Rehabilitation Project <br /> Infratech Technologies has completed approximately 75% of the sewer repair project to date. <br /> The remaining work located mostly near wetlands, may have to wait until the ground drys out or <br /> freezes enough to support the heavy repair equipment. <br />. <br />
