The Building Official has been in <br /> contact with the owners requesting that they move forward on this part of the demolition. <br /> 3. 1875 Lake Lane. The owner of the property has essentially completed the clean up of <br /> the interior of the house. However, the structural components of the house still require <br /> work so that they do not pose a problem to the public's safety. The property owner has <br /> now apparently sold the property. The new owner wishes to bring the house into code <br /> compliance. The Staff will work with this owner to arrange a mutually agreeable time <br /> schedule for this activity to take place. <br /> 4. Sign Ordinance. The Sign Ordinance was adopted on Apri112, 1993. The Sign <br /> Ordinance amortized all legal nonconforming signs over a five-year period (ie., April 12, <br /> 1998). Therefore, all legal nonconforming signs at the time of the adoption (which there <br /> are a lot) are now illegal signs and have to come down. The Sign Ordinance also only <br /> allows dimensional variances (ie., height, size and width of signs). The City Council may <br /> wish to discuss how to proceed in this area at an upcoming worksession. <br />. <br />. <br />
