The Public Works Director has <br />personally checked out three of the six references provided, one of which is the New Brighton <br />Public Works Director, Les Proper. All three indicated Jay Brothers completed their project <br />satisfactorily and had only minor problems during the project <br />Recommendation <br />The Public Works Director concurs with the City Engineers recommendation that Council accept <br />the low bid of$69,593 and award the contract for the upgrade of Lift Station #3 to Jay Brothers <br />Inc, <br />If Council accepts the bid, the City Engineer and Public Works staff will be instructed to closely <br />monitor the project and see that workmanship and materials comply with job plans and <br />specifications. <br /> . <br /> . <br />---.----- <br />
