Old City Hall <br />The City coordinated the demolition of the Old City Hall with the Lake <br />Johanna Volunteer Fire Department (LJVFD). The Department used the <br />building for training purposes the week before demolition. The site has <br />now been regraded and cleaned up. The flagpole and two pine trees, <br />which were dedicated for past mayors, were saved for use at the new City <br />Hall should the City elect to use them. <br /> <br />. Temporary Citv Hall <br />Staff completed coordinating Council Chambers taping with the North <br />Suburban Cable Commission (NSCC). This process took an extraordinary <br />amount of time to complete, but is now available. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />New Citv Hall <br />Staff has continued to work on the interior layout, storage requirements, <br />Council chamber layout, audio/visual needs and a preliminary review of <br />furnishing needs. Staff has not advanced the lease agreement, but will <br />begin work on this item in January. The City was notified by the <br />Minnesota National Guard ofa March 15, 1999 date certain, land transfer <br />ofTCAAP property. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. Town Hall Meeting <br />Staff has sent notices to those agencies who participated in the 1998 Town Hall <br />Meeting inviting them to participate again in 1999. Other preliminary efforts have <br />begun. <br /> <br />. Committee Updates <br />The City continues to process committee interest forms and has forwarded them to <br />the City Council. The Council made three (3) Newsletter Committee <br />appointments in December as a result of these interest forms. The Council is <br />expected to provide staff with additional direction on the committees and <br />membership in the near future. <br /> <br />. Newsletter Committee <br />The Committee is currently working on a combined December/January <br />issue, to be delivered in mid-January, 1999. <br /> <br />e <br />
