Department Renort <br />The City Council will find the department report enclosed for each of the various City <br />Departments. Activities related to the Administration Department include: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />General Administration <br />Miscellaneous items worked on during March included: <br />. Continued processing of 1999 Business Licenses and delinquentnotices. <br />· Continued efforts on Arden Hills Y2K compliance <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Facilities Update <br />The bid opening was held on March II, 1999. The apparent low bidder was Rochon <br />Corporation with a low bid of $2,489,000. The City Council directed staff to work <br />with the audiovisual consultant to see how the budget for this part of the project can <br />be reduced. Staff is also looking into whether or not the cost of the utilities can be <br />reduced by making changes to the size of the lines currently proposed. <br /> <br />Staff and the City Attorney continue to pursue efforts at obtaining a response to the <br />draft lease agreement with the National Guard. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Council/Department Head Retreat <br />The facilitator is making final revisions to the minutes from the Retreat and should <br />have them available to the City Council in the near future. The City Council will be <br />discussing the one outstanding issue from the Retreat, Committees, at an upcoming <br />Council Worksession. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Newsletter Committee <br />The committee is currently working on the April, 1999 edition. City Hall continues <br />to receive input from residents in regards to the various topics, which are included in <br />the newsletter. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Pronerty Acquisition <br />Staff presented to the City Council the final Purchase Agreement on the acquisition of <br />the Indykiewicz property. Staff has also received the completed appraisal for the <br />railroad right-of-way located on West Round Lake Road. Staff is now reviewing the <br />document and will be providing additional information to the City Council in the near <br />future. <br />
