Communitv Representations <br />As City Administrator, I've attended a variety of meetings representing the City this <br />past month, including the League of Minnesota Cities; TUG; I-35W Corridor <br />Coalition; Metropolitan Area Managers Association; and Rotary. <br /> <br />. Personnel <br /> <br />. Buildinf!: Inspector Position <br />The City Attorney is fmalizing the agreement for a shared Building Inspector <br />between the Cities of Shoreview and Arden Hills. Advertisement for this position <br />is currently underway. Staff will bring the agreement back to the City Council at <br />its April 12, 1999 meeting for final action. We hope to have the Inspector on <br />board within the next six weeks. <br /> <br />. Receptionist Position <br />Staffhas been working with and training our new Receptionist, Pam Sweeney. <br /> <br />· Parks Director Position <br />Tom Moore has accepted the Parks & Recreation Director position with the City <br />and will begin on AprilS, 1999. Staff has sent notices to all of the other <br />candidates informing them of this decision. Councilmember Rem and Parks <br />Commissioner Messerly both assisted with this interview process and I'd like to <br />thank them for their help. <br /> <br />tit <br /> <br />. Recreation PrOlrram Supervisor Position <br />Tracy Petersen has resigned from this position effective April 2, 1999. She has <br />accepted a position with the City of Chanhassen. I have reviewed the job <br />description and prepared an advertisement which should be in the paper either this <br />week or next. <br /> <br />. Park Development <br /> <br />· Bethel Park <br />Staffhas met with Bethel College officials to discuss the process to be followed <br />for the concept proposal for the park project. The Parks Commission is currently <br />discussing when to hold the neighborhood meeting on this issue. They are <br />currently considering May 18, 1999. Once they have decided when to hold the <br />meeting, notices will be delivered to the Chatham neighborhood. <br /> <br />tit <br />
