Communitv Representations As City Administrator, I've attended a variety of meetings representing the City this past month, including the League of Minnesota Cities; TUG; I-35W Corridor Coalition; Metropolitan Area Managers Association; and Rotary. . Personnel . Buildinf!: Inspector Position The City Attorney is fmalizing the agreement for a shared Building Inspector between the Cities of Shoreview and Arden Hills. Advertisement for this position is currently underway. Staff will bring the agreement back to the City Council at its April 12, 1999 meeting for final action. We hope to have the Inspector on board within the next six weeks. . Receptionist Position Staffhas been working with and training our new Receptionist, Pam Sweeney. · Parks Director Position Tom Moore has accepted the Parks & Recreation Director position with the City and will begin on AprilS, 1999. Staff has sent notices to all of the other candidates informing them of this decision. Councilmember Rem and Parks Commissioner Messerly both assisted with this interview process and I'd like to thank them for their help. tit . Recreation PrOlrram Supervisor Position Tracy Petersen has resigned from this position effective April 2, 1999. She has accepted a position with the City of Chanhassen. I have reviewed the job description and prepared an advertisement which should be in the paper either this week or next. . Park Development · Bethel Park Staffhas met with Bethel College officials to discuss the process to be followed for the concept proposal for the park project. The Parks Commission is currently discussing when to hold the neighborhood meeting on this issue. They are currently considering May 18, 1999. Once they have decided when to hold the meeting, notices will be delivered to the Chatham neighborhood. tit
