<br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />Chapter 10 Utilities <br /> <br />1010.13 Underground Installation of Distribution Lines. <br /> <br />Subd. 1 Purpose. The Council believes that in the public interest or sound long-range <br /> <br />planning it should promote the underground installations of utility distribution lines in cases <br /> <br />of original installations or substantial alteration of existing lines. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 Scope. The provisions of this Subsection apply to public utility lines designed and <br /> <br /> <br />constructed to distribute utility services to customers in the City, but do not require <br /> <br /> <br />underground installation of appurtenant facilities such as lift stations, fIfe plugs, meters, <br /> <br />transformers, pedestals, and the like. <br /> <br />Subd. 3 New Developments. <br /> <br />A. All new electric distribution lines (excluding main line feeders and high voltage <br /> <br />transmission lines), telephone service lines and services constructed and providing <br /> <br />service to customers shall be buried underground. These regulations shall apply to <br /> <br /> <br />all new land development proposals in the City including, but not limited to, new <br /> <br /> <br />subdivisions, apartments, nonresidential buildings and planned unit developments. <br /> <br />B.
