<br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />Chapter 10 Utilities <br /> <br />recorded with the register of deeds of the county with reference to the property. Failure to <br /> <br />give notice shall subject the excavator to all penalties of State law under Chapter 216D of <br /> <br />the State Statutes. <br /> <br />Subd. 6 Application for Proposed Installation. All proposed utility installations in the <br /> <br /> <br />City shall be submitted to the City for approval prior to the installation; provided however, <br /> <br /> <br />repairs or extensions by a utility company covering less than twelve hundred (1200) feet of <br /> <br /> <br />line need not be submitted. The City Administrator shall require the applicant to furnish in <br /> <br /> <br />writing information relative to the location of the proposed installation, the manner of its <br /> <br /> <br />construction, whether underground or overhead, and satisfactory evidence that the consent <br /> <br />of all affected property owners has been obtained. The City Administrator shall then refer <br /> <br />the proposal to the utility committee, as established in this Section. , <br /> <br />Subd, 7 Utility Committee. The utility committee shall consist of the City engineer, a <br /> <br /> <br />planning commission member or public works committee member appointed by the Council, <br /> <br /> <br />and the City building inspector. The committee shall review utility proposals upon the basis <br /> <br />of the principles set forth in this Section and promptly submit its report to the Council <br /> <br />advising the Council whether, on the basis of the principles stated, in this Section, the <br /> <br /> <br />proposed installation should be approved. If the utility committee is ,of the opinion that <br /> <br /> <br />underground installation of uie proposed utilities should not be required on the basis of the <br /> <br /> <br />standards set forth in this Subsection, it shall so recommend to the Council.
