Maximum length for cul-de-sac streets shall be five hundred (500) <br /> <br />feet measured along the center line from the intersection of origin to end of right-of-way, <br /> <br />unless there are eighteen (18) or less Jots abutting the cul-de-sac. Each cul-de-sac shall be <br /> <br />provided at the closed end with a turnaround having an outside roadway diameter of at <br /> <br />least one hundred (100) feet, and a street property line diameter of at least one hundred <br /> <br />twenty (120) feet. <br /> <br />Subd. 11 Streets Abutting Arterial Streets. Where a subdivision abuts or contains an <br /> <br />existing or planned arterial street, the City Council may require local streets parallel and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />adjacent to the arterial street or other such treatment as may be necessary for adequate <br /> <br />protection of residential properties and to afford separation of through and local traffic. <br /> <br />Subd. 12 Half Streets. Half streets shall be prohibited, except where essential to the <br /> <br />reasonable development of the subdivision in conformity with the other requirements of <br /> <br />these regulation$i~ and then only when the City Council finds it will be practicable to <br /> <br />require the dedication of the other half when the adjoining property is subdivided. <br /> <br />Wherever there is an existing half street adjacent tea tract which is to be subdivided, the <br /> <br />other half of the street shall be platted within 5ti€ft-~::proposed tract. <br /> <br />Subd. 13 Reserve Strips. Reserve strips controlling access to streets shall be prohibited <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />except under conditions approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />12 - 22 <br />
