<br />., <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />Chapter 12' Subdivisions <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Subd. 14 Railroad or Limited Access Highways Abutting Subdivision. Where a <br /> <br />subdivision borders on or contains a railroad right-of-way or limited access highway <br /> <br />right-of-way, the City Council may require a street approximately parallel to and on each <br /> <br />side of SU€fr-~tright"of-way at a distance suitable for the appropriate use of the <br /> <br />intervening land, as for park purposes in residential districts, or for commercial or <br /> <br />industrial purposes in appropriate districts. SlIe-b.~tdistances shall also be determined <br /> <br />with due regard for the requirements of approach grades and future grade separations. <br /> <br />Subd. 15 Private Streets. Private streets shall not be approved nor shall public <br />improvements be approved for any private street. <br /> <br />Subd. 16 Hardship to Owners of Adjoining Property. The street arrangements shall <br /> <br /> <br />not be such as to cause hardship to owners of adjoining property in platting their own land <br /> <br /> <br />and providing convenient access to it. <br /> <br />Subd. 17 Street Interval. In general, provisions shall be made at intervals not exceediilg <br /> <br />one-half mile for through streets (streets running through the subdivision in a fairly direct <br /> <br />manner). <br /> <br />1220.04 Alleys and Pedestrian Ways. <br /> <br />Subd. 1 Commercial and Industrial. Alleys shall be at least twenty (20) feet wide in <br /> <br /> <br />commercial and industrial areaS. The City Council may require alleys in nonresidential <br /> <br />12 - 23 <br />
