<br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - OCTOBER 6, 1999 <br /> <br />DRAFT 22 <br /> <br />City Council meeting that the City be involved with Northwestern College for the scheduling of <br />~~. e <br /> <br />Commissioner Rye asked what the bonds for Presbyterian Homes would be used for. <br />Councilmember Malone stated that the bonds would be used for various housing and health care <br />facility proj ects, <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated that the City of Arden Hills has decided to move forward with the <br />ditch project at McClung Drive and Old Snelling Avenue. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated that the City of Arden Hills had set the levy for the year 2000 at <br />$1,976,377 and that the Truth in Taxation hearing was scheduled to be held December 6,1999. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated that the City had received a request for a sound wall from <br />residents located on Old Highway 10. The City also received a request from residents on Old <br />Highway 10 to be connected to City water. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated that Ramsey County will be reconstructing County Road I, from <br />Schutta Road to 1-35W. Since this portion of County Road I is located within Arden Hills, <br />Ramsey County requested that the City restrict parking along one side of the road. In order to <br />approve the request, the City Council requested that a memorandum of understanding be <br />provided from Ramsey County and the City of Shoreview regarding financial cooperation with <br />future improvements, such as a frontage road and intersection at the Arsenal, that cross over city . <br />lines. <br /> <br />With regard to the request for the City of Arden Hills to be involved with the soccer fields at <br />Northwestern College, Chair Erickson asked whom the City Council had spoken with and what <br />sort of progress had been made. Councilmember Malone stated that Mr. Mark Meyer, a <br />representative of Presbyterians Homes Finance Department, had been present at the meeting to <br />discuss the bond issue. The City of Arden Hills does use the soccer fields when available and <br />Mr. Meyer had been agreeable to the City being more involved in the programming ofthe fields, <br /> <br />Chair Erickson asked if Presbyterian Homes had signed an agreement with the City of Arden <br />Hills for the use ofthe soccer fields. Councilmember Malone stated that a formal agreement had <br />not been discussed, however, Mr. Meyer had indicated that Presbyterian Homes would be willing <br />to cooperate. <br /> <br />COMMISSION COMMENTS <br /> <br />There were no additional comments from the Planning Commission, <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Commissioner Sand moved, seconded by Commissioner Baker to adjourn the meeting at 10:26 <br />p.m. The motion carried unanimously (6-0). e <br />
