Post, Interim City AdministratorW <br /> <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Department of Army <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Backl!:round <br />With the passage of the Defense Authorization Bill signed into law by President Clinton, the next <br />phase of the City of Arden Hills efforts to obtain fee title for a parcel to construct a new City <br />Hall at the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (rCAAP) property is underway. The City's <br />consultant, Impact Planning, has identified several legal and environmental requirements that <br />must be completed before the land conveyance can be finalized. <br /> <br />The purpose of entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOD) with the Department of <br />Army is an expectation that by clearly identifying process steps and party responsibilities, it will <br />facilitate a more timely transfer process. Commander's Representative Fix has expressed <br />support for the MOU. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The City Council is asked to authorize the Interim City Administrator to execute the document <br />on behalf of the City of Arden Hills. <br />
