<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - JULY 5, 2000 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />Acting Chair Rye asked whether logos could be put on the City's water towers. Councilmember <br />Rem stated she would bring that suggestion to the Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem stated there was a discussion with regard to City staff mowing in City and <br />county right of ways, as well as discussions regarding the Indykiewycz parcel and the Josephine <br />East development. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem stated that the Council had reviewed the planning cases put forward by the <br />Conunission at its last regular meeting. She added that the Welsh Companies application was <br />approved with some concerns regarding screening. She noted that Mr. Mertensotto's variance <br />request was tabled as he was not present at the meeting, but the Council agreed in an informal <br />poll to support his request. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem stated, with regard to the new City Hall facility, the City Attorney has <br />strongly urged the Council not to accept bids until fee title to the land has been received. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem stated the Council approved a Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan <br />for the City which will cost approximately $60,000. <br /> <br />Conunissioner Nelson asked who was the low bidder on the City Hall facility project. <br />Councilmember Rem stated the bidder was the same as last year, but the low bid was 10% higher <br />than last year. She added the plans have changed somewhat, with an expansion to include <br />windows on the 2nd floor and a stone exterior instead of brick. <br /> <br />Conunissioner Galatowitsch asked what kind of stone exterior would be constructed. <br />CounciImember Rem stated it will be a local stone quarned in Minnesota. She added that until <br />the fee title is received, the project is on hold. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Conunissioner Baker moved, seconded by Conunissioner Nelson to adjourn the meeting <br />at 10:08 p.m. The motion carned unanimously (5-0). <br />
