Commissioner Sand stated that Cora <br />Wilson at the Cable Commission, or Joe Lynch, would have additional information. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sand suggested that the workplan might be printed in summary fashion in the <br />City newslettcr so that rcsidents will be aware that these issues are being reviewed. He added <br />that one of the comments received by rcsidents with regard to the street rcconstruction project <br />was that they were not aware of the project plans and timelines. <br /> <br />Acting Chair Nelson asked whether Ms. Chaput had any recommendations for time lines and <br />priorities. Ms. Chaput stated that rezoning ofthe ncighborhood business district has been left <br />unaddressed for too long and she would wish to review it as a priority. <br /> <br />Commissioncr Sand asked whether the district should be rezoned to match the ordinance, or to <br />consider rezoning to be consistent with development as it occurs. Ms. Chaput stated that <br />rezoning of other properties will rcquire further discussion. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput stated that shc would wish to address zoning ordinance anlendments as a second <br />priority. She added that this project includes a full review of the anteuna ordinance. Acting <br />Chair Nelson askcd whether the zoning ordinance amendments could be reviewed in December. <br /> <br />Commissioner Baker asked, with regard to the lakeshore setbacks under "zoning ordinance <br />amendments", whether the City's zoning code is more permissive than DNR regulations, and <br />whethcr the code would be enforced Citywide. He noted that there would be opposition to a . <br />more restrictivc changc. Ms. Chaput stated she would look into the issue and see ifit is worthy <br />of review. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput stated that the housing maintenance code and sign ordinance are priorities which will <br />take a few months to review. She added that the City's sign ordinance does not allow banners in <br />the right of way, and this will need to be reviewed before the City's 50th anniversary celebration. <br />She noted this could be addressed in January. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput stated that the codification review and housing maintenance issues could be <br />reviewed before January. She added that lakeshore setbacks could be reviewed at the end of the <br />year. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput asked whether thc "Administration and Procedures" section ofthe zoning ordinance <br />amendments should be considered an urgent priority. Commissioner Galatowitsch stated she <br />would wish to review that issue soon. Commissioner Baker asked whether recent planning cases <br />required that an appropriate policy be established as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput stated that she is not familiar with cases from this past year, adding that not many <br />cases are presented at this time of year. Commissioner Duchenes suggested the issue could be <br />rcviewed in the spring. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sand requested that Ms. Chaput issue a new workplan including the timelines as <br />discussed.
