Councilmember Rem requested the following change: On page 6, fourth paragraph, fourth line, insert "who was not a member of the Council at that time" before "to move ahead". B. October 16, 2000 Council Worksession MOTION: Council member Aplikowski moved and Councilmember Grant secondcd a motion to approve the meeting minutes as amended. Thc motion calTied unanimously (5- 0). CONSENT CALENDAR A. B. C. D. F. F. G. Claims and Payroll Ordinance #320, Summary Antenna Ordinance Res. #00-37, Resolution Authorizing a Tax Rate Increasc for the 2000 Tax Levy, Collcctible in 2001 :vlounds Vicw Public Schools, Water Easement Request Res. #00-38, Resolution Appointing Data Practices Compliance Official 2001 AMM and LMC Legislative Policics and Priorities Regular Employee Status, Planner Jennifer Chaput e Councilmember Rem stated, with regard to Item F, 2001 Association of Metropolitan Municipalities, that the inclusion of sales Metropolitan Council authority as a priority item was not in the Council's worksession minutes. Mayor Probst suggested that Item F be removed from the Consent Calendar and addressed as a separate item on the agenda. MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmemher Aplikowski seconded a molion 10 approve the Consent Calendar and authorize execution of all necessary documents contained therein, with the exception ofItem F, and the placement of Item F on the main agenda. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). PUBLIC COMMENTS Mayor Probst invited those present to come forward and address the Council on any items not already on the agenda. Elizabeth Garski, 1795 Lake Valentine Road, stated she appeared before the Council in April 2000 with regard to lights in the Monnds View High School parking lot. She added that a Special Use Permit was approved for the school, at which time the Council had suggested that the lights be consistently turned off at 10:00 p.m. She noted that nothing has changed, and often the lights stay on until 1 :30 a.m. She suggested that maintenance staff at the school might need .. instructions with regard to the operation of the lighting timer mechanism. ,.
