Councilmember <br />Larson stated that there is no opposition, although large agencies are bureaucratic and slow. <br /> <br />Chair Erickson asked whether the renumbering of the Zoning Ordinance was complete, Ms. <br />Chaput stated the ordinance has been amended frequently, but copies are ready and will be sent <br />to the Commissioners before the end of the month, <br /> <br />C. Staff <br /> <br />Ms, Chaput stated that two planning proposals are scheduled for January: a proposal from <br />Walgreen's for a drive-thru, which are not allowed within a certain distance ofan existing drive- <br />thru, and a 5-story office building at 1-694 and I-35W, She added the City ordinance does not <br />allow 5-story structures. Commissioner Baker stated the property will need to be rezoned. <br />Commissioner Sand stated consistent lighting requirements should be made along the visible <br />front of the business park. <br /> <br />Chair Erickson stated that the 35-foot height limit for buildings was created in 1990 and was <br />extremely shortsighted. Councilmember Larson stated the language states 35 feet but calls for <br />the encouragement of multi-story buildings to be regulated as it affects the safety of occupants, <br /> <br />Commissioner Duchenes asked whether the City's zoning regulations are available on a website, <br />Ms, Chaput stated the web site task force will meet next week and provide recommendations to <br />the Council at its first January meeting, She added the task force will review structure and <br />content of the web site. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Commissioner Baker moved, seconded by Commissioner Sand, to adjourn the meeting at 10:19 <br />p,m, The motion carried unanimously (5-0), <br />
