<br />T <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />LAKE JOHANNA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1.00 Parties. This Memorandum of Understanding is entered into by and <br />between the City of Arden Hills, a Minnesota statutory city ("City"), and the Lake <br />Johanna Volunteer Fire Department, a Minnesota non-profit corporation ("Fire <br />Department"). <br /> <br />2.00 Recitals. The City and the Fire Department desire to share the services of <br />an individual who will provide backup building inspection services and fire inspection <br />services for the City and who will provide fire inspection and fire inspection suppression <br />services for the Fire Department. The purpose of this Agreement is to define the terms <br />and conditions of the shared services. <br /> <br />3.00 Terms and Conditions. In consideration of the mutual undertakings <br />herein expressed, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />A. City Services. The Building Inspector shall be a regular employee of the <br />City and shall be subject to its employment policies and regulations. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />When providing services to the City, the Building Inspector shall be <br />under the direct supervision of the City's Building Inspector. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2. The City agrees to indemnifY and hold harmless the Fire Department <br />against claims for damages of whatever kind resulting from the Fire <br />Inspector's actions or failure to act while providing services as a <br />Building Inspector for the City. <br /> <br />3. The use of City vehicles and equipment and reimbursement for <br />mileage while engaged in City services shall be subject to the City's <br />policies. <br /> <br />B. Fire Department Services. For approximately twenty (20) hours per <br />week, on the average, the Fire Inspector shall provide fire inspection and <br />fire inspection suppression services for the Fire Department. <br /> <br />1. While providing services to the Fire Department, the Fire Inspector <br />shall be under the direct supervision of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br />
